The opportunity

We are now looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Languages with the ability to teach French and/or Spanish to Key Stage 5. The post holder will be joining a friendly and supportive team and will contribute to the teaching of Key Stage 3 of their second foreign language, and (I)GCSE and A Level of their first foreign language. Candidates should have a passion for languages and the ability to apply a range of teaching strategies that motivate and encourage children to want to learn.

The department also offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities as well as a vibrant enrichment and mentoring programme. Educational trips to local schools and Europe, as well as a well-established exchange programme with a French partner school, are also integral parts of student learning experiences.

All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays; all students are provided with an iPad upon entry, and staff and students use Google Classroom.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach all Key Stages and deliver lessons that inspire children to succeed and have a detailed knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, as well as a commitment to the pursuit of excellence in education standards

As a Languages Teacher, you will be responsible for instilling a passion for languages in students and monitoring and evaluating student achievements, as well as contributing to accomplishing the College’s vision and mission.

We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English; therefore, a high standard of written and spoken English is essential, along with a detailed knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
