Doha College is a high-profile leading British International School in Qatar delivering a well-balanced, all-embracing English National Curriculum to students aged 3–18. The College was also the first High Performance Learning accredited school in the world. With 2,500 students and 350 staff, the School is a vibrant international community that subscribes to equal opportunities for all. An exciting time for the school, last year we moved to a brand-new, 90,000m² state-of-the-art campus, amalgamating two previous sites and ensuring the College’s place at the forefront of educational provision in world-class facilities.
We are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced Head of Careers and University Guidance to join our multicultural organisation that embraces diversity and provides a friendly work environment.
Joining a friendly and supportive work environment, you will be responsible for the administration, organisation and smooth running of all careers guidance and university applications by secondary school students. The role is pivotal and essential to the positive outcomes our students and their parents aspire to and is measured by the Leadership Group and Board in determining the quality of the school’s provision.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a similar role; however, candidates who have had experience working in an educational environment or with secondary students will also be considered.
You should have demonstrated success in your current role, be highly motivated and organised with good communication and IT skills, and be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of school life. Experience in supporting students applying to universities worldwide is highly desirable, and a good working knowledge of ‘Unifrog’ would be highly valued.
We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English; therefore, a high standard of written and spoken English and in-depth knowledge of the application processes for UK, North American and other international university destinations is essential.
